What is the role of the Institute for Credentialling Excellence and Lifelong Learning (ICELL)?

The Institute for Credentialing Excellence and Lifelong Learning (ICELL) is the department in charge of providing credentialing opportunities for professionals and students. It supports the institutional objective of producing T-shaped graduates, individuals with a broad range of skills from different areas aside from the specialized area of discipline. The institute, in line with Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao, upholds excellent and relevant education to make its members globally competitive and locally in demand.

What is Micro-Credentialing?

• Micro-Credentialing are earned by completing a single short course or a series of short courses that contain learning activities and assessments on a specific knowledge and skill.
• Micro-Credentialing allows individuals to showcase their achievements and competencies with confidence, as it is verified by reputable organizations.

Micro-Credentials could be:

• Curricular: Classes normally taken and/or are degree requirements for a course of study.
• Co-Curricular: Classes taken in addition to a traditional course of study.

What are the Benefits of Micro-Credentialing?
